True to their origins, the carpets of The Abadjian Collection are handknotted blend of wool and cotton, allowing both the soft hand of an antique and durability to last for generations to come. Virtually owning all of our production from the spinning of the wool to the final combing of the carpet, ensures us that our carpets are unique and authentic.

Stock Program

We offer an extensive stock program with 4 different weave quality’s each with its unique beauty. Over 400 current design with unlimited color options. As well an array of sizes: scatters 2x4, runners 3x10, corridor 5x12 small and large room sizes 6x9, 8x10, 9x12, 10x14,12x15 and 13x18.

  
 
Traditional Oriental weave and designs. From the exquisitely detailed poetry of a Persian Tabriz to the quiet beauty of an Indian Agra. Abadjian is the contemporary source for historical carpet art.

Cuenca weave inspired by old 14th century Spanish weave, a compilation of Old World charm with a modern flare. The Cuenca weave a soft blanket feel with a course texture, sheered low for the antique hand. Designs consist of large pomegranates, Turkish lottos, and old turn of the century gothic floor frescos. As well inspiration of 18th century English and East Turkistan designs.

High-Low weave Imagination, to have created great carpets again from the end of the 20th Century. Carpets that could no longer be found and some that have never been imagined. Flat woven foundation (Low) along with a cuenca fine weave pile (high). This pile in relief offers A range of designs from Besserabian to geometric.

Besserabian Flat weave Modern day Moldovia once known as Besserabia wrested away from Romania. Unlike other manufacturers claiming Besserabian reproduction, producing inferior quality in China and abroad. The Abadjian Collection continues a time-honored tradition, creating Besserabian design carpets from the country of origin. Designs are of unique characteristics combining French style and neoclassic elements with a defined native folkart.

Custom Made

We specialize in custom color and size orders of existing Abadjian designs and weave or Antique reproduction. We offer a worry free program, where you do not need be a computer wizard or an art major. There are no fancy computer models to limit your imagination.

Historically carpets were woven in villages, in tradition were passed from generation to generation. With great respect to these bygone days we insist upon recreating them with the same spirit, technique and love of their original creators.
Our sales design staff professionals will walk you through four easy steps:

1. Design: Select a design from our collection or of your own existing Antique carpet.
2. Color: If starting with the rug select color pallet, from our wool library or bring in your fabric and we will do the rest.
3. Sample: We weave a 2 x 3 sample for your approval. (one month delivery) at this point we make changes if needed.
4. Generally a custom order rug, size 12 x 18 is delivered within 3 months after sample approval.
